AGILITY TRAINING WITH THE PARABALL

AGILITY TRAINING WITH THE PARABALL

Hello this is Gabriel and today we are going to do some agility training with this variation of the frontal plane walk.

This is an advanced single-handed exercise and is a very effective way of training how to time the footwork with a spine movement, in this case a rotation. We are going to use a bilateral stance and we are going to use a backhand swing as the base move for the exercise.

We are going to use a backhand swing for this exercise, but instead of preparing the swing on this side and moving the Paraball in this direction, like we normally do, we are going to move the Paraball in the opposite direction, similar to what we do during the preparation of a forwehand swing. Here we are going to take the first step when the Paraball is pointing upwards. We will continue doing the backhand swing which will orient the Paraball down behind our back. At this point, we will take the second step. Note that the steps can be done in every direction of the frontal plane using the rotation to the same side. The difficulty here is to time correctly the steps with the swing.
